The Old Curiosity Shop was a novel written by Charles Dickens; it was famously published in two instalments in 1840 and 1841 respectively. ✍️

The novel was very popular when published – even Queen Victoria read it. 👑

Although the shop’s name was changed after Dickens’ book was published, it is known that this shop was an inspiration for the novel and Dickens visited it several times.
